Ok, Thanks

Because Hidden Figures Deserve to Be Seen.

History has a habit of erasing the contributions of those who didn’t fit the dominant narrative. From the women who calculated space missions to the scientists, engineers, and thinkers from marginalized communities whose work shaped our world, too many brilliant minds have been overlooked, forgotten, or deliberately erased.

SheDidtheMath.org exists to change that.

As a teacher, I want my students—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds—to see that science, innovation, and progress have never been exclusive. If the government and institutions won’t preserve these stories, I will.

Why This Site?

When NASA and other organizations began removing profiles of women from their public websites, it was a reminder of how fragile history can be. Whether due to politics, funding, or neglect, the impact is the same: the next generation loses access to the role models who could have inspired them.

This site is a permanent digital archive, dedicated to preserving the legacies of women, minorities, and all oppressed peoples in STEM and beyond—ensuring their stories are remembered, their contributions are recognized, and their impact remains visible.

Who Am I?

My name is Andrew, and no, I’m not part of any of the communities whose stories are told here. But I am a teacher, a technology advocate, and someone who believes that history should reflect the truth—not just the parts that are convenient.

This site isn’t about me—it’s about them. I’m just here to make sure the lights stay on.

Per Audacia Ad Astra.

How You Can Help

• If you have profiles, biographies, or resources to contribute, reach out.

• If you have a story that deserves to be told, let’s amplify it.

• If you believe in this mission, spread the word.

Because if history won’t remember them, we will.
